We spent six months backpacking through Southeast Asia in 2021/2022, travelling through Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore and I have to say it was an amazing experience. We tried to travel on a budget….Honestly!! We had an amazing time discovering each country.
One of the many things we loved about Southeast Asia was how easy it was to get around. We found great transport links, including budget airlines, trains, buses, and boats for island hopping. We were able to visit so many beautiful places and meet so many wonderful people along the way.
We also had a great time exploring the delicious food of Southeast Asia! In Thailand, we enjoyed the tasty street food, with its mouthwatering grilled skewers and stir-fries. We also thoroughly enjoyed sampling the delicious dishes of Vietnam.
Another great thing about Southeast Asia is that with it being budget-friendly. We were able to find affordable accommodation, food, transportation, and activities everywhere we went. Whether we stayed in hostels, guesthouses, or budget hotels, there were always plenty of options that wouldn’t break the bank.
