Home Sweet Home In Devon

Helloo and Welcome to our little slice of Heaven in South Devon.

This amazing county in the Southwest of England is nestled between Somerset, Cornwall and Dorset. And it is here, that we are living in our motorhome “Kevin” whilst working on a beautiful campsite earning extra pennies for our 4-month adventure in South America.

Yes, back in 2021 we sold everything we owned and rented out our house in Teignmouth to go and travel the world.

And, yes now we are back where we started – Devon.

Well, why not? We love Devon!

Devon Map

It is beautiful here. It has everything a mix of Cities, coastal and rural towns, villages, stunning beaches, 5 areas of outstanding natural beauty, Dartmoor & Exmoor both national parks, and I mustn’t forget the stunning Southwest Coast Path, 630 miles long starting from Minehead in Somerset to Poole Harbour in Dorset running along the North and South Devon coastlines.

Also, there is the great city of Exeter from which I hail 😊 Exeter is the county’s biggest city, with plenty of museums and attractions. You can explore the city’s Roman walls, visit its beautiful cathedral, and take a trip down the River Exe. There are also plenty of great restaurants, pubs, and bars to discover!

Not only is the food and drink in Devon amazing, but many people would agree that it’s the best in the UK. Devon boasts its own natural larder with fresh fish and seafood sourced from Brixham. Locally produced ice creams, cheeses, the famous cream tea (always cream first and then the jam).

Cider – WOW – I am a cider drinker and the best comes from Devon. You just gotta come down and try it for yourselves.

Well, it’s easy for us to get caught up in dreams of far-off destinations, but we shouldn’t overlook the amazing sights and experiences right here on our own doorstep.

So, whilst Nick and I are here in Devon, we are going out exploring this wonderful, beautiful part of the world. And we want to share it with you.
