What To Expect In Puerto Natales
When we arrive in Puerto Natales, we can expect a cool and windy climate, with average temperatures ranging from 6 to 12 degrees Celsius. The mild summers have long daylight hours, making it a perfect time to explore the outdoors.
One of the region’s culinary highlights is the famous Magellan lamb, which is slow-cooked over an open fire and served with potatoes and other local vegetables. Another popular dish is curanto, a traditional seafood stew made with clams, mussels, and potatoes. And here we can experience the delights of Guanaco Stew….. Yum Yum..
Puerto Natales is home to the Torres del Paine National Park, which offers a variety of trails, ranging from easy walks to challenging multi-day treks. The well-known W Trek takes about four to five days to complete, while the Circuit Trek is a more demanding experience, taking around eight to ten days. Yep, you got it we’ll be happy with the nice easy treks. Along the way, we can expect to enjoy breathtaking views of glaciers, mountains, and lakes and encounter local wildlife such as guanacos and condors.
