South America is the fourth largest continent in the world, with a rich biodiversity. It features the world’s driest desert, the highest waterfalls, the largest river basins and the longest mountain ranges!!

In December, we’re off to explore South America for four months. The continent boasts 12 countries. These include the world’s second-largest mountain range, the largest rainforest, the world’s most isolated Island and the world’s driest desert. We’ve narrowed our country list to just three.
Once there, we need to adjust to a different culture and overcome the language barrier with Spanish in Chile and Argentina and Portuguese in Brazil….. Wish us luck!!
So, here it is our three countries we plan to visit during our trip to the other side of the world.

Starting in Chile, we’re excited to explore its diverse landscapes, from the Andes Mountains to the Pacific coastline. As the world’s longest country, spanning over 2,653 miles, Chile offers a range of climates and natural wonders to discover.
Argentina
Argentina is a diverse and exciting country with the largest Spanish-speaking population. We can experience tango, Iguazu Falls, and world-class Malbec wines.
Brazil
Brazil offers a wide range of experiences, from exploring the Amazon rainforest to soaking up the sun on Rio’s beaches. A journey from Florianopolis to Rio de Janeiro promises an exciting adventure. With six weeks to spend, we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the bustling cities, cuisine, natural landscapes, and sandy beaches.
