Where it all started……This is where we eventually find out what Will gets up to every January over in Argentina!

We will be based here for over three weeks and experience everyday life in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Exciting!

First Time Visit To Buenos Aires

As Nick and I are first-time visitors to Buenos Aires, we will give the Tango a go; after all, this is the birthplace of the Tango. We are hoping to catch a live performance and probably take a lesson….

We have already been promised homemade empanadas and lamb Asada (BBQ to us in the UK). We have also been warned to try to lose a few pounds before getting to Buenos Aires as there is a likelihood that our clothes will be a little snug when we leave!

Buenos Aires is made up of numerous distinct neighbourhoods, each with its unique character and charm. So we plan to explore some of the most popular ones, such as San Telmo, Recoleta, and Palermo whilst there. We can also enjoy the outdoor markets, street performers, and traditional food and drink.

Buenos Aires is a city that truly comes alive at night, quite different from what we’re used to. We usually prefer to start drinking in the early afternoon and then go to bed early. (Old farts)  but I’ve been told that in Argentina, it’s common to go out around 10 p.m. and party until the wee hours!  It’s all part of the Argentinean way of life, and we’re excited to experience it for ourselves and see how it goes!
